Conservation

Each rare book or paper item we receive has its own unique set of challenges. With this in mind, we approach each project with minimal intervention, in order to maintain the object’s historical integrity and allow safe accessibility for the future life of the object. We accept rare books, family bibles, scrapbooks, broadsides, prints, maps, ephemera, and other works on paper. We are experienced in the preventative and interventive conservation of leather, paper, cloth, and parchment. Pricing is determined per project.

Our consultations are geared towards collectors, museums, and university library administration. All consultations include a written assessment geared toward the individual’s or institution’s needs.
